Our Story

Our story began on a spring evening in May 2019, when Raven picked up Justin outside his flight attendant training hotel in Seattle - much to the entertainment of Justin's fellow trainees watching from the windows. Despite Justin's initial hesitation about modern dating, that first evening at MBar (Justin's first-ever rooftop bar experience!) sparked something magical. Between meaningful conversation, stunning city views, and instant chemistry, we both felt those unmistakable butterflies and knew we had found our person.

Our casual dating quickly transformed into a profound and beautiful love story, with our charismatic Golden Retriever Porter playing cupid along the way. From day one, we couldn't get enough of each other's company, falling more in love with every shared laugh and adventure. Our early months together were filled with spontaneous trips to Maui and skiing at the Matterhorn in Switzerland, each journey deepening our connection and confirming what we already knew - this was forever.

Whether we're exploring our favorite spots in the San Juan Islands or CentralOregon, taking weekend trips to Canada, or volunteering together at the Eugene Marathon each spring, we find pure joy and comfort in simply being by each other's side. While we balance each other perfectly - Justin keeping us punctually on schedule for our adventures while Raven ensures our home is beautifully styled and organized - we share an unbreakable bond and endless love for travel, binge-watching CIA shows, cooking together, and taking road trips to Oregon.

Our different approaches to life create the perfect harmony, and our deep friendship, endless laughter, and unconditional love for each other carried us to a magical moment in May 2023, when we got engaged. Now, as we plan our wedding and look toward our future together, we can't help but feel grateful that a simple dating app, a rooftop bar, and a golden retriever led us to the greatest love story either of us could have imagined.
